English fashion designer Kim Jones joined forces with Nike to bring us a collection that reinvents traditional football kits.
Kim Jones x Nike collection dubbed as the 'Football Reimagined' collection takes inspiration from late '70s London-punk aesthetic. “That whole punk era was all about proportions that gave power to the wearer. I was inspired by the idea of DIY of the time — cutting up and putting things back together — to create something new,” says Kim Jones.
The collection also includes a new sneaker, which is a hybrid between three of his favourite sneakers, the Footscape, the Vandal and the Air Max 97. The Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 360 High features a high boot cut with a strap across the ankle area. Air Max outsole is used providing the sneaker with a sporty and slick overall aesthetics. Kim Jones branding can be seen on the Air Max outsole, insoles and the strap area of the sneakers.
The Nike x Kim Jones 'Football Reimagined' collection which also includes two colorway of the Nike Air Max 360 High will be launched on 7 June over at Nike SG!
